This weekend is the halfway point for Radio Art Zone. Time for some international radio news. Throughout August ORF Kunstradio in Austria is broadcasting half-hour long digests of Radio Art Zone shows in their Sunday evening slot. Meanwhile our friends at London’s best radio station Resonance FM are devoting the whole month to us. The German public broadcaster Deutschlandfunk Kultur says that “Radio Art Zone is indulgent abundance and imposition at the same time.”
The upcoming week’s schedule features three 22-hour-long live performances by radio artists with a diminished need for sleep: on Saturday, Tuesday and Friday. There is the chance to experience these on air feats in person if you happen to be in the area. You can find all the info below as usual. Radio Art Zone is slowly approaching its halfway point, and we would love to hear from our listeners! Did something make you smile or cry? Do yo listen at night or maybe cook along with our À table! shows? Please send your comments to firstname.lastname@example.org
From today Radio Art Zone is also a physical exhibition space. Our longterm resident, the German composer and installation artist Erwin Stache, is showing for the first time his complete works with vacuum tubes. You can visit his playful take on the radio’s “Magic Eye” at the nerve centre of Radio Art Zone: the Bridderhaus. Below is the on air programme for next week, starting from tomorrow.
Here is the programme for next week, starting from tomorrow. If you are looking for visual stimuli to go with the radio, please visit our archive page for more photos from the “À table!” shows or watch the new videos on our Youtube channel. And don’t forget: Stay tuned – and spread the word!
Radio Art Zone is three weeks old now. Below you can find the schedule of artists for the upcoming week, starting from tomorrow. An article in today’s newspaper d'Letzebuerger Land states: "La Radio Art Zone est bien différente de la radio dont nous avons l’habitude.” We will keep it like that.
Radio Art Zone not only sounds different every day, but also tastes different – if you would like to see photos of our daily lunchtime kitchen shows please visit our archive. You can find more information on Radio Art Zone on our about page.
